Please come join us on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 6:30 pm-9:30 pm at the DDRB office at 1025 Country Club Road, St. Charles, MO 63303 where we'll be in an open gym with music, dancing, basketball, kickball or whatever we feel like! It will be a blast!

People First of St. Charles creates new opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to develop self-advocacy skills that will lead to a better understanding of services available, how to access them, and how to advocate to solve problems and barriers experienced in the service system. The January meeting will include installation of new officers and discussion regarding the Real Voices, Real Choices Annual Conference.

The February meeting will include a guest speaker and sign up for the Real Voices, Real Choices Annual Conference. Attendees are encouraged to bring a snack to share.

People First – St. Charles Chapter is a self-advocacy group for individuals aged 18 and over diagnosed with a developmental disability that promotes self advocacy, training, quality of life and equal rights. This month People First have invited a guest speaker from Delta Center for Independent Living. Members will also sign up for the Real Voices Real Choices annual conference.

The Developmental Disabilities Resource Board of St. Charles County (DDRB) has invited a survey team from CARF International to evaluate how well we meet international standards for quality. CARF International is an independent, not-for-profit family of organizations that provides accreditation in the field of human services. You are invited to be part of the survey by attending the entrance conference at the DDRB office.
