Congratulations to our Executive Director, Denise Cross, on being named one of just eight individual recipients of the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2026 Champions for Diversity & Inclusion Award!

This prestigious recognition celebrates individuals who are making a lasting impact by advancing inclusion and creating stronger, more welcoming communities.

For years, Denise has been a dedicated advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), working to expand opportunities, elevate the voices of people with lived experience, and improve quality of life throughout St. Charles County.

The Developmental Disabilities Resource Board (DDRB) has strengthened partnerships with service providers, employers, educators, elected officials, community organizations, and self-advocates to help build a community where people of all abilities can thrive.

While this award recognizes Denise’s outstanding leadership, it also reflects the collective efforts of our Board, staff, funded partners, families, self-advocates, and community members who work together every day to advance inclusion.

Please join us in congratulating Denise on this well-deserved honor! We are incredibly grateful for her leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to creating a more inclusive community for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We look forward to sharing the St. Louis Business Journal’s special awards feature when it is published on September 4.
