On September 11, 2019, the Cultural Competency Committee of the DDRB hosted a panel discussion on “Supporting and advocating for LGBTQ individuals who have Intellectual/developmental disabilities.” Over 60 attendees from the St. Charles region, including agency staff and community members, gained information and learned more about creating welcoming spaces for LGBTQ clients and resources that are available to assist individuals to live the lives they choose. We have added those resources to the Parent Resources section of our website under Resource Publications and have listed them individually in our Resource Directory.
